Colin Winston-Fletcher studied music from the age of six and worked his way through the Royal School of Music pianoforte exams, playing live on stage from the Reading Folk Festival to New York’s Greenwich Village and on to a residency at The Blacksmiths Shop on Bourbon Street, New Orleans. Colin gained a commendation at Derby Lonsdale College in Film and Media before receiving a BA (hons) degree in Music and performing arts at Brighton University.
Since then he has been retained to provide scores for numerous independent films, and later began an association with BBC, ITV and Channel 4. This led to hundreds of engagements in Advertising, Documentary and Drama, including works as diverse as the first ever documentary about the fall of the twin towers ”Atomy of Collapse”, the hugely successful T.V. drama “Footballers Wive’s”, Film Drama “Bouncer” with Ray Winstone, “After Thomas” with Keeley Hawes and “Balamory” for CBBC. Colin has been involved in many theatre productions including “Telstar” at The New Ambassadors Theatre in the west end, he has also produced and recorded many albums, notably “Snowed In” by Tim Rose which was played by Jarvis Cocker as his first record on his BBC 6 radio show.
